The Public Health Sciences (PHS) Division of Fred Hutch is seeking a candidate with a focus on Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) to join an expanding group of innovative faculty focused on advancing health equity across the cancer care continuum. Candidates of all academic ranks—Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor with a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD, or equivalent—are encouraged to apply. Pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. Pay for Faculty positions is based on a variety of factors, including degree, specialty, clinical practice and experience. This position is eligible for relocation assistance and sign-on bonus.

The Epidemiology Program in the Public Health Sciences Division at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow who will work directly with Dr. Trang VoPham. The successful applicant will have a background in environmental epidemiology, cancer epidemiology, or related fields and will lead research projects focused on the application of geospatial science in cancer and environmental epidemiology.

These projects include, but are not limited to, epidemiologic studies on associations and health disparities related to climate change factors, such as wildfire air pollution exposure, and cancer survival outcomes and examining environmental exposures, including location-based social determinants of health and geospatial light exposure modeling for environmental circadian misalignment and solar jetlag, in relation to liver disease. The Postdoctoral Fellow will have access to large-scale geospatial exposure databases and study populations to conduct these epidemiologic studies and will gain intensive applied training in geospatial analytics using geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing.

This Postdoctoral Fellowship is supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Cancer Institute (NCI) T32 Training Program entitled “Contributing Factors and Consequences of Cancer Health Disparities” (T32 CA094880). This T32 Training Program is led by Dr. Amanda Phipps, Associate Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Washington, and Dr. Christopher Li, Professor, Vice President for Faculty Affairs and Inclusion, and Associate Director of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. The Postdoctoral Fellow will have many opportunities for first-author publications; preparing abstracts to present study results at scientific conferences; engagement in career and professional development activities; skills and practice in grant writing, disseminating scientific findings, and developing a long-term career plan; and collaboration with investigators on other environmental and/or cancer epidemiology projects. The Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center (GLCCC) is seeking outstanding candidates for an NCI-funded T32 postdoctoral training program in Cancer Population Science (CPaS). We are currently recruiting for Spring, Summer or Fall 2024.

The program focuses on preparing trainees for independent research careers with a focus on clinical and community
translational research. Training faculty have a wide breadth of domain-specific expertise with funded research programs in
behavioral science, health disparities, epidemiology/biomarkers, cancer and aging, health services/health policy, and
survivorship. The program offers 2-3 years of funding, competitive salary and benefits, as well as funds for travel and
research support. The fellows will be mentored to develop their own program of funded research and have access to a

GLCCC is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the nation’s capital. Fellows

The Program in Public Health (PPH) and the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center (CFCCC) at the University of California, Irvine invite applicants for a full-time, tenure/tenure-track Faculty, Public Health / Associate Director of EDI position. The PPH and CFCCC seek candidates with cancer-related research expertise in diverse fields such as epidemiology, risk exposure, health disparities, prevention and intervention, implementation science and translational research, and health policy. The University of Michigan School of Nursing announces up to four postdoctoral research fellowship positions that are funded by a National Cancer Institute T32 training program (T32-CA-236621).

Fellows will be responsible for furthering their training in one aspect of cancer care delivery research, descriptive discovery, intervention development and testing, and implementation science, through formal coursework, informal seminars, applied experiences with research teams, and through mentored research. Fellows are expected to prepare first-authored, data-based publications in peer review journals, submit at least one extramural research grant, and develop expertise in the conduct of cancer care delivery research. Populations of interest include adults and pediatric patients and their caregivers. Settings may include prevention, diagnosis and treatment, survivorship, and end-of-life.

Fellows will receive mentoring from interdisciplinary faculty across the University with funded research programs focused on cancer care delivery science. In addition to seminars and coursework, professional development activities will be planned in grantsmanship, preparing scientific papers, disseminating research findings to broad audiences, rigor and reproducibility of research, team science, and the responsible conduct of research.

The UCLA Jonathan and Karin Fielding School of Public Health is undertaking a faculty search for a state-funded tenured Associate or Full Professor of Epidemiology (https://epi.ph.ucla.edu) and Co-Director of our Cancer Molecular Epidemiology Training Program. With this commitment as well as a commitment to addressing all forms of academic misconduct, UCLA conducts targeted employment reference checks for finalists to whom departments or other hiring units would like to extend formal offers of appointment into Academic Senate faculty positions. Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey invites candidates to apply for Assistant to Professor tenure-track faculty positions in pediatric population science, health outcomes, and disparities research. Academic rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The successful behavioral or physician-scientist will join the Pediatric Population Science, Outcomes, and Disparities Research Section in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Department of Pediatrics. The successful applicant will be expected to develop and maintain an innovative, independent, collaborative, and extramurally-funded research program. Area of research interest is open, but we are particularly interested in applicants conducting research in pediatric hematology/oncology health disparities, health equity, cancer survivorship, psychosocial risk and resilience, or community-based research. The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Program provides comprehensive, state-of-the-art care for children and adolescents with cancer and blood disorders and is a member of the National Cancer Institute supported Children’s Oncology Group (COG), the world’s largest organization devoted exclusively to childhood and adolescent cancer research and clinical trials. The LITE Program at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey provides long-term evaluation, support, and health education for the growing population of childhood cancer survivors.

The Center for Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorder Research at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey is dedicated to growing its research focused on health equity and outcomes among childhood cancer survivors. Rutgers Cancer Institute has a vibrant and active research program in cancer prevention and control, cancer epidemiology and cancer disparities, and a Center for Tobacco Studies at RBHS. There is a strong and growing research program in cancer survivorship in primary care settings at the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. With the integration of Rutgers Cancer Institute into the RWJBarnabas Health System, there are many opportunities for research collaboration and study implementation across New Jersey. Program members also have strong ties with the diverse communities in New Jersey. Rutgers Cancer Institute houses the SEER New Jersey State Cancer Registry, which facilitates research through high quality reporting of cancer cases across the state and rapid case ascertainment of new cancer cases. In addition, Rutgers Cancer Institute has numerous shared resources available to faculty to facilitate research, including: 1) Population Science (DatStat, data collection); 2) Biostatistics; 3) a bio-specimen repository; and 4) precision oncology and access to ORIEN (Oncology Research Information Exchange Network), a shared resource for precision oncology data for epidemiology studies. Rutgers Cancer Institute, located in New Brunswick, NJ, is the state’s only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center and is easily accessible to New York City, Newark Airport, and Philadelphia by public transportation.

Candidates must have PhD or MD/PhD in medicine, psychology, public health, epidemiology, or a health-related profession with a strong publication record. Preference will be given to applicants with an established and extramurally funded research program. Faculty are expected to support the educational goals and activities of the School, and as such will be expected to be involved in teaching activities for students as well as targeted lectures in their area of expertise.
