Job Information/Description:

The Public Health Sciences (PHS) Division of Fred Hutch is seeking a candidate with a focus on Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) to join an expanding group of innovative faculty focused on advancing health equity across the cancer care continuum. Candidates of all academic ranks—Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor with a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD, or equivalent—are encouraged to apply. Research areas of interest include but are not limited to: identifying and understanding the biological, social, environmental or systemic factors associated with cancer outcomes and/or health disparities (for example, using social epidemiology to identify targets for interventions; developing and testing interventions to promote health equity for underserved communities; dissemination and implementation science; and/or care delivery research that seeks to eliminate inequities among underserved populations). The successful candidate will develop/continue an independent research program within our collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Successful candidates will be invited to join the Cancer Epidemiology or Cancer Prevention Program, based on fit with the candidate’s background and training, area of research, and preference. There may be additional opportunities for collaboration with Fred Hutch’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and/or the Office of Community Outreach and Engagement.

Reference letters will be solicited for Assistant Professor applicants and may be solicited for senior applicants over the course of the search process. For consideration, applicants need to have a PhD, MD, MD/PhD, or other doctorate degree and an academic track record consistent with rank. The annual base salary range for this position is from $165,000 to $393,196 for faculty hired at the Assistant Professor rank, from $185,059 to $420,547 for faculty hired at the Associate Professor rank, and from $207,555 to $472,040 for faculty hired at the Full Professor rank. Pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. Pay for Faculty positions is based on a variety of factors, including degree, specialty, clinical practice and experience. This position is eligible for relocation assistance and sign-on bonus.
