The College of Allied Health Professions in partnership with The Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center is seeking faculty experts in metabolic health, physical activity, and nutrition research. Ideal candidates will have expertise in areas such as behavioral health, dissemination and implementation, health disparities, wearable digital technology, genetics and epigenetics, chronic inflammation and immunoregulation, cancer therapy, or cancer metabolism.
The CAHP is one of six health profession education colleges at UNMC, offering 15 unique education programs in the health professions. The college is known across the University of Nebraska System for its culture of innovation, collaboration, and respect. It is the second largest health professions college at UNMC, having recently added new post-professional doctorate programs for nutritionists and physician assistants, as well as new entry-level programs in occupational therapy, genetic counseling, and respiratory care. The Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center at the University of Nebraska Medical Center is Nebraska’s only NCI-designated Cancer Center, having successfully led cancer care, research, and education for over 40 years while making significant contributions to reducing the burden of cancer. Our multi-disciplinary research environment offers ample opportunities to collaborate with scientists and clinicians from a wide range of programs and departments, focusing on conducting catchment area-oriented research. Faculty will have access to shared resources and state-of-the-art technology to support their innovative work.
