Job Information/Description:

The Department of Population Sciences in the Beckman Research Institute at the City of Hope is seeking an Associate or Full Professor with expertise in implementation science and to lead as the Director of the Division of Health Equity. We seek an experienced individual who will focus on implementation science principles and healthcare delivery within a growing portfolio of cancer prevention, cancer control, outcomes research and health equity. This opportunity offers the potential for creation of highly impactful research, with the goal to build a program of independent research and implementation science in a highly transdisciplinary collaborative environment. Importantly, the position will build a portfolio of collaborative research that translates research advancements (including but not limited to evidence-based interventions in cancer prevention and control, cancer screening, health care delivery systems including FQHCs, health policy, care access and equity, PRO, supportive care services) into tangible benefits for patients and communities affected by cancer focused on addressing cancer disparities.
The successful candidate would ideally have demonstrated success in research collaboration on NIH of similar level grant-funded projects. Candidates with experience working in a collaborative, biomedical research setting, and record of extramural grant support are highly required. Research training or record of scholarly productivity are required in these following areas: behavioral science, dissemination and implementation science, science of cancer disparities, health systems, and community-engaged research.

This individual will serve as the Division Chief of the Health Equities Division in the Department of Population Sciences. The individual also will be part of the Cancer Control and Population Sciences Program in the City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center (CoHCCC) and serve as the Associate Director of the Center of Community Alliance for Research & Education (CCARE). The successful candidate will build a multi-disciplinary program in implementation science to address cancer burden and disparities.
