Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, Integrative Medicine Program, on the Clinical Scholar pathway with an approximate 50:50 contribution to clinical service and academic pursuits.
The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and the University of Washington (UW) are jointly recruiting a full-time MD/DO faculty member at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level without tenure due to funding (WOT), in the Clinical Research Division of the Fred Hutch and the Division of Medical Oncology, Department of Medicine at the UW. The primary appointment will be in the Clinical Research Division of Fred Hutch. Academic appointment at the University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. University of Washington Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for multi-year appointments and Associate and Full Professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that both align with a 12-month service period. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
The selected individual for the advertised position is expected to contribute to our mission of delivering outstanding clinical care and developing excellence in clinical research in integrative medicine and supportive care. All clinical and translational research experiences and interests will be considered, and expertise and focus in developing symptom management programs to help patients adhere to standard treatment pathways and/or to improve cancer survivorship is highly desirable. The Fred Hutch Integrative Medicine Program collaborates closely with other Supportive Care services, including Nutrition, Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation Medicine, Pain, Palliative Care, Psychosocial Oncology, Social Work, and Spiritual Health. Fred Hutch and University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. Teaching responsibilities will involve oversight of advanced practice providers, nurses, and fellows in the clinical setting, and delivery of informal teaching sessions and formal lectures to providers and the general medical community.

Qualifications
Qualified applicants will have specific clinical and research interest and experience in the field of Integrative Oncology, such as lifestyle recommendations (nutrition, physical activity), the appropriate use of dietary supplements and natural products, mind-body medicine, and/or acupuncture following a cancer diagnosis.
The ideal candidate should have a record of and primary interest in Integrative Oncology as well as an active clinical research interest, as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications and grant funding in the application of complementary or integrative therapies in the oncology setting.
Applicants must have an MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and board certification in internal medicine, oncology, and/or related medical specialty. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $184,356 to $358,394 for faculty hired at the Assistant Professor rank, from $224,020 to $392,873 for faculty hired at the Associate Professor rank, and from $261,994 to $451,962 for faculty hired at the Full Professor rank. Pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. Pay for Faculty positions is based on a variety of factors, including degree, specialty, clinical practice and experience. This position is eligible for relocation assistance and sign-on bonus.
