Job Information/Description:

We are seeking Post-Doctoral Applicants who meet the following requirements:
• A doctoral degree from an accredited school in a discipline relevant to cancer prevention
and control (PhD must be awarded by July 2025)
• A research focus in cancer control consistent with the ongoing work of a primary and
secondary mentor
• United States citizen or U.S. permanent resident

This training program is housed at the Indiana University School of Nursing on the Indiana University– Indianapolis (IUI) campus, in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute-designated Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center.



Additional Information:

The primary purpose of this NCI-funded T32 program is to train the next generation of cancer prevention and control scientists to conduct interdisciplinary research spanning the continuum of cancer; prevention, early detection, treatment, and survivorship. Cancer disparities are emphasized throughout the program. This highly interdisciplinary program encourages applications from a broad range of health care disciplines. Past T32 fellows have come from a variety of disciplines including Nursing, Psychology, Public Health, Communications, Medicine, Neuroscience, and Music Therapy. The program is flexible enough to address the educational needs of individuals from different academic home disciplines, but formalized enough to ensure that participants achieve high levels of content knowledge and acquire intensive research
experience by the time studies are completed.
