Job Information/Description:

The Houston Methodist Neal Cancer Center (HMNCC) invites applications from qualified candidates focused on the development and expansion of the current cancer control research program. The Associate Director for Cancer Control and Population Sciences is a senior Executive Leader within HMNCC and will report directly to the Director of the Cancer Center. The search committee seeks extramurally funded (preferably from the National Cancer Institute) researcher, with established expertise in the field of cancer focused epidemiological and/or population-science based research, e.g. molecular epidemiology, behavioral science, data sciences, outcomes/disparities research, or population health research. The role will focus their primary effort on creating a cancer control research strategic plan, in cohesion with the HMNCC Executive Leadership team, linked to existing Community Outreach & Engagement efforts, and recruiting a cohesive team of investigators focused on the implementation of the proposed research initiatives. Candidates must have a, MD/PhD, or PhD degree with a track record of sustained and ongoing funded research program, an outstanding record of collaborative cancer research-related activities, and record of participation in educational programs and mentorship. Faculty opportunities are available at the ranks of Associate or Full Professor.
