The Center for Immunization and Infection Research in Cancer’s Post-Doctoral Training Program, Moffitt Cancer Center
The Center for Immunization and Infection Research in Cancer (CIIRC) at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, Inc. invites applications to its Post-Doctoral in Training Program under Moffitt’s founding director, Dr. Anna Giuliano. In 2018, she received the prestigious ACS Clinical Research Professor award for the “Prevention of Infection-Related Cancers.” She will be selecting one Post-Doctorate to help her team accomplish the project goals.
Mentoring will be provided by Dr. Giuliano as well as a team of experienced faculty from a variety of epidemiology-related disciplines, including cancer epidemiology, biostatistics, bioinformatics, and clinical specialties spanning diverse areas of research interests and cancer sites. The two year program will combine research/didactic training as well as specialized one-on-one mentoring.
Applicants must have a terminal degree in epidemiology, public health, medicine or related discipline. Given the program’s focus in human papillomavirus epidemiology, it is anticipated that most candidates will have some previous training in epidemiology and/or biostatistics and knowledge of HPV. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the open position has been filled. Applicants from outside the US are encouraged to apply, but if selected, the candidate must be willing to obtain a temporary work visa.
Please return your Curriculum Vitae, Cover Letter to include: i) reason and
motivation for obtaining post-doctoral training in epidemiology, ii) statement of
future research goals, and iii) the names and addresses of three references, and
application form in a combined PDF to Alyse.Johnson@Moffitt.org Questions may
be directed to Ms. Johnson by email or phone at (813) 745-6361.
