The Department of Population Health Sciences is the flagship population health research department of Weill Cornell Medicine and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. The Division of Epidemiology seeks full-time tenure-track positions at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. We are seeking outstanding individuals engaged in research related to cancer prevention and control, including, but not limited to, implementation science, data science, or epidemiologic methods with research in substantive areas such as colorectal, lung, cervical and prostate cancer, infection related cancers, geospatial sciences, screening, health disparities, or tobacco control. Research portfolios may include a range of topics, from molecular to social determinants of cancer. Candidates should have a Ph.D. or an MD with additional graduate training (e.g. M.P.H., MS, or fellowship).

The Department of Population Health Sciences (https://hpr.weill.cornell.edu/) is home to six Divisions. The Department is multi-disciplinary with substantial research strengths across a variety of areas including health policy and economics, health data science and data analytics, health informatics, comparative effectiveness & outcomes research, healthcare delivery science, epidemiology and biostatistics. The division of Epidemiology envisions housing a multidisciplinary group of PhD and/or MD population science investigators dedicated to careers in building scientific evidence and cultivating a next-generation workforce conducting epidemiologic research.

Faculty in this division will leverage the burgeoning status of New York City as the epicenter of clinical medicine, and will be integral to the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program within the Sandra and Edward Meyer Cancer Center at Weill Cornell Medicine. As a matrixed cancer center, the Meyer Cancer Center converges the talent of basic, translational, clinical and population-based cancer investigators across Weill Cornell Medicine to take fundamental discoveries from bench to bedside to population, and back again. Additional resources include the Englander Institute for Precision Medicine, the Cornell Center for Health Equity, and NewYork-Presbyterian, the premier healthcare system in New York City including NewYork -Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, and NewYork-Presbyterian Queens.
