Faculty Positions

Department of Epidemiology and Cancer Control

The Department of Epidemiology and Cancer Control, internationally-recognized as a leader in pediatric cancer survivorship and cancer control research, is seeking outstanding candidates for faculty positions at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Member, Associate Member or Full Member.

St. Jude leads some of the world’s largest survivorship research programs including two NCI-funded long-term cohort studies, St. Jude Lifetime Cohort Study (SJLIFE) and the Childhood Cancer Survivor Study (CCSS).  The Department of Epidemiology and Cancer Control has a multidisciplinary faculty with expertise in epidemiology, biostatistics, pediatric oncology, genetics, neuropsychology, psychology, endocrinology, internal medicine, behavioral sciences, health services, physical therapy, patient-reported outcomes, and decision science.

Applications are being accepted for highly qualified faculty candidates with doctoral training (PhD or equivalent doctoral degree, MD or equivalent medical degree) and research training/expertise in areas including: epidemiology; genetics; psychology and neuropsychology; neuroscience; behavioral sciences, oncology; health services, or outcomes research.  Successful candidates will be expected to conduct both independent and collaborative research.  Faculty rank will be commensurate with previous training and experience, including demonstrated success in securing nationally-based funding plus independent and collaborative research resulting in peer-reviewed journals.  Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.  All faculty positions have generous startup allowance with ongoing commitment of research support and space. Compensation is very competitive and commensurate with experience.
