The NCI-designated Massey Cancer Center at Virginia Commonwealth University invites applications for a postdoctoral training program in cancer prevention and control (CPC)

This 2-year individually-tailored multidisciplinary training program is an NCI-funded T32 postdoctoral training program. The program will equip trainees to be future leaders in CPC.

The program offers a core curriculum in the science and practice of conducting CPC research, individualized training opportunities and mentorship through research experience. Areas of research broadly include behavioral cancer prevention and control and health services/outcomes research.

Specific opportunists include (but are not limited to):

  • Cancer communication, including the use of social media and digital/mHealth
  • Cancer health disparities
  • Cancer healthcare economics
  • Cancer survivorship and outcomes research
  • Community-engaged research
  • Health behavior research, tobacco control¬† and cancer screening

We are looking to fill up to 3 postdoctoral position IMMEDIATELY, starting Fall 2018.  

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Candidate should have a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree by the start of the fellowship and a commitment to a career as a cancer prevention and control researcher. In addition, candidate should have demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a postdoc at VCU. MUST have a green card or US citizenship.
