We are seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Scientist interested in advancing his or her career in a vibrant and highly collaborative environment with superb resources and opportunities at the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
Dr. Tracy Onega is the Senior Director for Population Sciences at the Huntsman Cancer Institute and has research projects available in rural cancer control, geospatial analysis, geoinformatics, and location-based mHealth interventions.
Our research includes transdisciplinary approaches to cancer care access, utilization, and outcomes, with a focus on geospatial analysis/GIS, geoinformatics, telehealth and digital technology interventions in rural and rare cancer populations. The position will involve participation in cancer-related team science, analysis, leadership on multiple publications, project management, and active participation in grant applications.
Completion of doctoral degree upon start (PhD, ScD,); early track record of peer-reviewed publication; commitment to apply for external funding (e.g. K99/R00).
Cancer-related research focus.
Background in use of GIS, webGIS, location-based ecological momentary assessment, and social media-based interventions.
