The Tisch Cancer Institute – Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
The Office of Community Outreach and Equity Research (COE) at the Tisch Cancer Institute (TCI) of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to work on cancer disparities, risk factors and community research.
We are located at the crossroads of some of New York City’s (NYC) wealthiest and poorest neighborhoods. Our community includes residents from Central Harlem (CH), East Harlem (EH), the Upper East Side (UES) and the rescue and recovery workers of the World Trade Center (WTC). These communities represent the epitome of cancer disparities and the challenges our nation faces in equalizing them.
Starting date: Immediately Required qualifications
- PhD (epidemiology, public health, behavioral sciences)
- Community research
- Expertise in data management and analysis of large population databases
- Geospatial mapping
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team
- Advanced level writing
- Bi-lingual, Spanish/English is preferred
- Grant applications
- Examples of issues addressed in disparities
- At least 2 years of experience
