The Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center (SKCC) at Jefferson in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is pleased to announce junior faculty positions in Cancer Equity / Community Outreach and Engagement. We seek investigators (PhD, ScD, DrPH) with expertise and research related to one or more of the following:
Community based participatory research
Behavioral science interventions and theories
Mixed methods research
Investigators dedicated to reducing cancer disparities in the SKCC catchment area and beyond, who have experience working with diverse communities, and have an established track record of grant funding and manuscript publication are strongly encouraged to apply. Investigators can collaborate with the SKCC’s Community Advisory Board and the Patient/Family Advisory Board for connections to catchment area organizations and cancer patients, families, and caregivers. The Office of Community Outreach and Engagement, as well as consortium partner Drexel University, provide additional resources and support.
Successful candidates will also have opportunities to mentor medical students, postdoctoral fellows, and population health graduate students from the Sidney Kimmel Medical College, the Jefferson College of Population Health and the Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health. In addition to membership in the SKCC, primary and secondary faulty appointment(s)/affiliation(s) may be in one or more departments/divisions of the Sidney Kimmel Medical College and/or the College of Population Health at Jefferson.
