Faculty Position in Epidemiology with Expertise in Biobanking

The Division of Epidemiology within the Department of Health Sciences Research at Mayo Clinic is seeking applications for an open-rank faculty position in Epidemiology with specific expertise in building, managing and leveraging biobanks/biorepositories to advance understanding of human disease.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the needs and priorities of the Center for Individualized Medicine and the Division of Epidemiology in the areas of biobanking, precision medicine, and population health genomics across all three campuses in Minnesota, Florida and Arizona. This position may be located at any of the three campuses.
Qualified candidates hold a PhD in Epidemiology or closely related field, at least 5 years post graduate experience. Candidates have also demonstrated collaborative research success as evidenced by support on extramural funding as a PI or Co-I, with particular focus on ‘omics technologies and biomarker discovery/validation, demonstrated ability to work in a team science environment. This person has experience in translating research to real world applications, experience in epidemiology, study design and analysis as well as biosciences, leadership experience with evidence of delegating to team members, flexibility, creativity and excellent communication skills.
