The Opportunity
This is an extraordinary opportunity for an energetic and innovative executive leader to serve as Associate Director for Community Outreach and Engagement in the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Alabama and advance a well-established program at a storied institution with significant growth on the horizon. The AD will hold a faculty position in a department of any of the 12 UAB schools including medicine, public health, nursing, dentistry, or health professions.

Reporting to Barry Sleckman, M.D., Ph.D., Cancer Center Director, and serving as a key member of the O’Neal Senior Leadership team, the AD will oversee the Office of Community Outreach and Engagement and its mandate to continuously monitor cancer burdens. The AD works directly with a Community Advisory Board and more than 250 Community Health Associates to enhance bilateral communication between O’Neal members and the population of the catchment area and will also focus on fostering transdisciplinary research in cancer burdens and disparities important to the catchment area.

The Ideal Candidate
