Assistant Professor

Stanford University School of Medicine seeks candidates for a full-time Assistant Professor tenure line faculty position in the newly formed Department of Epidemiology and Population Health. The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. We desire expertise that will lead to a robust population science research agenda, and the potential or proven ability to secure independent or collaborative extramural NCI or other NIH-type funding. We seek faculty who conduct research on the causes, prevention, and treatment of cancer with a preference for an emphasis on addressing disparities in pediatric and/or adult cancers. We are interested in a broad array of disciplines and approaches including but not limited to genetic and molecular epidemiology, community-based participatory research, and cancer prevention and survivorship. A doctoral level degree in Epidemiology or a related field, with research experience relating to early career stage.

The successful candidate will be expected to further strengthen collaborations and be able to build strong inter- and intra- programmatic collaborate research within the Population Sciences Program and within Stanford Cancer Institute and Stanford University.
