Zilveren theepot, H. Matthews, Birmingham, 1893 Titel:Default Title made by silversmith Andries AkerslootSilver teapot, decorated all around with leaf and scroll motifs. Probably made by the silversmith H. Matthews of Birmingham. Active from 1893. The teapot bears English hallmarks: a master mark H (M), a first grade silver hallmark, a date letter "t" for 1893, and the city hallmark anchor. The teapot has a wooden handle to prevent the heat of the tea from penetrating the metal, and a wooden knob on top of the lid. The teapot is in excellent condition.
