Born in Arnhem, Protestant, son of Paulus, Brewer, and Elisabeth Duyn. From 1731 master silversmith, died in 1754 on Laurierstraat. The tea caddy features an engraved coat of arms with 6 fish on one side and a monogram BHE (!) under a baron's crown on the other side.
