Bally is one of the oldest brands of Martinique rum and one of the first distilleries in Martinique, located in Le Carbet, to produce rum from fermented sugar cane juice. Inspired by traditional, time honored cognac production methods, the company's founder, Jacques Bally, came up with the idea of aging his rum in oak barrels around 1917 to impart complex flavors. This slow maturation in wood characterizes Bally rums, giving them an incomparable
