I found this to be one of the more backward wines of the 2000 vintage and gave it a window of maturity of 2015-2040 when I reviewed it in 2003

but does not dominate or consume the rest of the performance

full-bodied depth

plenty of fruit from nose to finish

but when I taste this many of these aromas don't seem to be present on the palate

ADD TO THIS, NOTES OF VANILLA, RAISIN AND LICORICE. Color: Golden with amber hues. Bouquet : Fine and harmonious with notes of flowers (violet and iris), grapes, vanilla and subtle hints of oak wood. Palate : Well balanced, long and fine with floral notes, hints of vanilla, raisin and licorice.
