St. Mark is the patron saint of the city and his Campanile (Bell Tower) can be seen rising above this beautiful city. The large building to the right of the tower is the Doge's Palace where the ruler of Venice once lived. Vaporettos or water taxis can be seen transporting people from one stop to the next along this end of the Grand Canal. CONDITION
