His works include "The Steadfast Tin Soldier," "The Ugly Duckling," and "The Little Match Girl." Thornton Oakley (1881 1953) was an American illustrator known for his work with "Century," "Harper's Monthly," and "National Geographic." Oakley collaborated with his wife, Amy, while creating a series of travel books.
