1936 Print Kanegafuchi Dormitory Kimono Japanese Girls Tokyo Textile Mill FZ2 XEBA6 On the left side ofThis is an original 1936 halftone print of girls at a boarding school in a textile mill in Japan. Seen is the dormitory room at the Kanegafuchi factory, which we are assuming is located in Tokyo. Japanese farmer's daughters would usually come to boarding schools like this at the age of twelve or thirteen, and could eat lunch for 4 and a half cents. The caption writes, "Each mat is a bedstead. Fifteen floor mats: ten girls."CONDITION This 75+ year old
