The ring is in good antique estate condition and ready to wear. The garnet has some noticeable scratches and from underneath you can see it is also cracked. It is a genuine garnet though, not paste. It measures 7. 62mmx 7. 42mm x 4. 4 mm deep so it is about 1. 75 carats. The ring is hallmarked 18K M. G. I am not sure who this maker is. The ring stands about 6mm high off of the finger. The
